Laymetha Guy, affectionately known as Lay, is the creative force and visionary behind Laydsing Productions. With a blend of musical excellence and entrepreneurial spirit, Lay boasts a diverse background from completing studies at Old Dominion University to a successful IT career.
Transitioning to music, her passion blossomed into a career filled with notable stage performances and published works. Her leadership at Laydsing Productions fosters an inspiring community for artists and authors alike.
As a performer, Lay has appeared on Bobby Jones Presents and has shared stages with legendary artists. She has performed in off-Broadway and award-winning stage productions, including God’s Trombone and Dessa Rose, which received the 2012 People’s Choice Award from the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle. Her music is available on major platforms, including iTunes.
Beyond music, Lay is a published author and the founder of The Promise Academy of Virginia, an initiative supporting and empowering girls ages 10–18. Known for “the voice that saturates the soul,” Lay brings authenticity, care, and creative excellence to every project.
